816-742-XXXX (Samuel Caruso) places a call to 911
DISPATCHER: 911, what is the address of your emergency?
CARUSO: [address redacted]
DISPATCHER: And what’s going on there?
CARUSO: Um, my roommate is like, he’s been gone for a while, like he never came home after he went out this morning.
DISPATCHER: Okay.
CARUSO: So – I’m –
DISPATCHER: You said your roommate is missing?
CARUSO: Yes.
DISPATCHER: What’s his name?
CARUSO: Jonas Teller.
DISPATCHER: Can you spell that for me?
CARUSO: J-O-N-A-S, then Teller, like bank teller. [background noise, muffled talking]
DISPATCHER: Go ahead and spell it for me.
CARUSO: T-E-L-L-E-R.
DISPATCHER: Okay. And you said –
CARUSO: [talking in the background]
DISPATCHER: You said –
CARUSO: Sorry, yeah.
DISPATCHER: You said he’s been missing for how long?
CARUSO: Since, um, probably about, like…around 11. Or…well, he left at 11…
DISPATCHER: Do you know his date of birth?
CARUSO: Um, no, I don’t.
DISPATCHER: Okay, but do you know about how old he is?
CARUSO: I think he’s 30.
DISPATCHER: Okay.
CARUSO: He’s, yeah. He went to sell his PS5 –
DISPATCHER: He went to what?
CARUSO: He went to sell his, his video game, his PS5. He said it would take about an hour but that was this morning and he’s not answering anybody’s calls.
DISPATCHER: I understand. Okay.
CARUSO: So I’m just concerned that he wrecked his car or something.
DISPATCHER: Right.
CARUSO: So, yeah. I mean… [sigh]
DISPATCHER: How did he seem this morning when he left? Did he, was he acting normal?
CARUSO: He seemed fine, like, normal.
DISPATCHER: No reason to think that he might have just left because he was upset, or…
CARUSO: Not that I can think of.
DISPATCHER: Do you happen to know what he was wearing when he left?
CARUSO: I think it was, um, a gray hoodie? And jeans.
DISPATCHER: Gray hoodie and jeans?
CARUSO: Yeah.
DISPATCHER: What does he look like? Can you give me, like –
CARUSO: Um –
DISPATCHER: A basic idea of, you know, race, hair color –
CARUSO: He’s white, brown hair, he’s around, probably…[to roommate] How tall, you think? [to dispatcher] 5’9”, 10”.
DISPATCHER: Okay. And what was your name?
CARUSO: Sam Caruso.
DISPATCHER: You’re his roommate?
CARUSO: Yeah, well, there’s three of us, [unintelligible].
DISPATCHER: There’s three of you?
CARUSO: Yeah.
DISPATCHER: Could he be with friends or family? Have you contacted them?
CARUSO: I called his mom but they haven’t seen him.
DISPATCHER: What about friends? Have you contacted them?
CARUSO: Yes ma’am.
DISPATCHER: Okay. We have officers on the way, so –
CARUSO: Thank you.
DISPATCHER: Yep, so, if you think of anything else that might be relevant or important, call me back, or tell the officers there. Okay?
CARUSO: Okay. Thank you ma’am.
DISPATCHER: Uh-huh, okay, bye-bye.
CARUSO: Bye.
